Who are we?
The Stanford Farm Cookbook is a project inspired by regional agroecology, seasonal produce, and a love of good food. Honoring the origins of our food and the people who sustain our communities, we weave together farmers’ stories and agricultural wisdom alongside ecological, culinary, and sociocultural perspectives.
The cookbook is underway! We are currently developing recipes that highlight the rich diversity of flavors and creativity of sustainable, plant-rich eating.
Join our newsletter to follow the project behind the scenes, help us test new recipes, and share your feedback!
Get Involved
COMING SOON! We will be launching a pilot recipe-testing program that connects participants with the Farm Cookbook’s evolving recipes. Designed for foodies of all skill levels – from curious beginners to seasoned cooks – the program aims to gather feedback that will improve accessibility and reduce barriers to local and sustainable cooking.
Stay tuned for more, and sign up for our newsletter to get access.

The Farm Cookbook team came together from all corners of campus to create something meaningful for the community.
We are grateful to have support from the Stanford Woods Institute, the Stanford Plant-Based Diet Initiative, and SPICE. As we reach new milestones, we invite you to help us achieve our publishing goals and bring this cookbook to life. Your support helps cover the costs of ingredients, recipe testing, hosting promotional dinners (prepared by us!), and reducing printing expenses so the cookbook can reach more kitchens.
